FIELD TRIPS

Teachers, Community, Education,
and Hildebrandt's

Hildebrandt’s would like to partner with local teachers who are looking for a worthwhile field trip to help support their Community Unit curriculum in a fun and educational way. Hildebrandt’s is a Long Island landmark that has been operating continuously on the corner of Hillside Avenue and Cross Street for 90 years.  Ask any person who grew up in the Albertson, Williston Park, Mineola area if they know about Hildebrandt’s, and a smile inevitably appears on their face and they immediately share a favorite memory or two.  We are hoping to provide a similar memory to your students.

Your students will come in for lunch and a discussion of the role that small businesses play in our communities. In our first year of offering the Community Unit field trip, we had the privilege of hosting 2nd grade classes from Searingtown School, Center Street School, and St. Aidan's School. The Community Unit field  trip is available to public, parochial, and private schools, and we're happy to help tailor the curriculum to the age of the students.

Please contact Bryan Acosta at 516-741-0608 to plan you community field trip.

If you are unable to plan a field trip with us this school year, please come in during your lunch break and mention that you saw this on the website, or received a flier or email, for a 10% Teacher Discount - YOU DESERVE IT!
